The Government of Canada announces the Vanier Program Postgraduate Scholarships for Canadian and international doctoral students in the area of social sciences, humanities, natural sciences, engineering or health who wish to continue their studies at Canadian Universities.
The Vanier Scholarship program was created to attract and retain the best doctoral students worldwide. This program supports students who demonstrate leadership skills and a high level of academic achievement in the aforementioned studies.
This year, there are a total of 166 scholarships available with an award of C$50,000 per year. The program lasts 3 years.
Apply for Vanier Program Postgraduate Scholarships
If you are interested in applying for one of the Vanier Program scholarships , you must meet the following requirements:
- They will be proposed by a single Canadian university, which must have received an allocation from Vanier CGS.
- It must be your first doctoral degree (or combined MA/PhD or MD/PhD).
- You must have completed no more than 20 months of doctoral studies as of May 1, 2018.
- Have achieved first place in class, as determined by your university, in each of the last two years of full-time study or its equivalent.
